At Maremel Ventures, we continue to help senior executives rethink digital media direction, futures, and partnerships.
- Visioning and
Metaphor: We work with individual executives or teams of senior
management to refine and/or establish visions for the company's future.
Often we work with management to create new metaphors or visions for
company direction, looking in new directions not on the previous company
map. Or we help establish new ways of planning or looking outside current
thinking as a new tool for company planning.
- One of our senior executives we have recently started working with calls us his "digital therapist" -- we like that.
- We also create education programs to look at the future for companies or industries -- exercising new ways of thinking. Many of these, we do with UCLA Anderson School's Executive Education Program
- Matchmaking:
We create introductions between companies, visionaries, industry leaders,
funding sources, technologies -- we "matchmake."
- We think ahead a few steps on what assets and relationships a company wants to craft to build the strongest futures it desires.
- We've also been called "media yentas" -- we like that too.
- Execution: We work with firms to create new partnerships, or new M&A opportunities, providing introductions not to just new companies or industry sectors, but also entrepreneurs, sources of funds, management teams.
We continue our consulting work, but have added on executive seminars and educational programs. Gigi Johnson, our president, also extends this work Faculty Director for UCLA Anderson's Global Entertainment Executive Program (www.uclaexeced.com), Lecturer for MBA courses in new media, and Program Director of the undergraduate Certificate Program in Entertainment/Media Management each summer.
