Ms. Johnson helps organizations "connect the digital dots." She has been called a “socio-technologist” in her work to understand the interacting transformations of technology and social change.  At the Maremel Institute, her activities range from research and programs to helping companies to launch new endeavors in media, technology, and education. She also teaches technology transformation classes and workshops at UCLA Anderson School of Management, USC’s Institute for Communications Technology Management, University of Navarra in Spain, Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi, and UCLA Music.  Her work at Maremel has expanded into user group education about technology empowerment, including producing the 2009 UCLA Technology and Aging Conference and distributing three online video learning channels.

Until late 2005, she was Executive Director of the Entertainment and Media Management Institute at UCLA Anderson School of Management.  Other past endeavors have included running two Video-on-Demand cable, satellite, and online channels for kids at Studio 4 Networks and nearly a decade in media finance at Bank of America in New York and Los Angeles.  She continues on the advisory board of the Interactive TV Alliance and is a member of the Interactive Peer Group of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
