Social Media 101

In this webinar, we will highlight ways to think about social media, including enforcement, equity, engagement, social media literacy, creative collaboration, crowdsourcing, and curriculum design.  We will look at issues including:

  • Social media options in collaboration: location-based information gathering, sharing photos in Flickr and Google Maps
  • Roles and responsibilities of Facebook
  • Social norms and socioeconomic assumptions of external content, including Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media accounts
  • Defending rights and responsibilities as a teacher
  • Your own privacy
  • Other ways to use social media for review, grading and evaluation, and creative work
