HUD Session 3/17/16 and beyond on Organizational Stories

Join us for our Webinar with the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) OCIO Learning Programs, going live March 17, 10 am Eastern, at http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/press/multimedia/videos

Topic: New leadership models push us to use narrative and story to help explain and inspire.  Yet like the parable of the blind men and the elephant, our organizations are made up of many people’s overlapping stories, each with power, rules, bias, routines, and norms.  In this session, we’ll flip the use of story into helping us become explorers in our own organizations and turn social stories into decision tools.  We’ll look at how daily stories of Heroes and Ghosts set up social norms and limit alternatives.  And we’ll look at how you can “listen” to evidence and storytelling in both social media and day-to-day meetings and conversations to learn how to feed new stories of change and possibility to your teams and even your leaders.

Many thanks to Melanie Cohen for organizing this program.
