We have been exploring connected media opportunities ourselves since 2004, when we launched our first concert, cable show, and, soon after, online channel. Since then, we have produced live and online events for kids through senior adults.
Learn to use the web to enjoy life better, faster, and cheaper. Episodes to date cover a wide range of opportunities, ranging from dining, search, writing, travel, and finding that great new job. Online now on Blinkx.com and KGEM-TV as full half-hour episodes.
Each episode has a quirky look at how kids are connecting online — what tweens are up to for kids and the parents who are trying to understand them better. Online now on Blinkx.com.
In 2006 and 2007, we produced “How2Kids,” which can be seen on KGEM-TV as a half-hour show, while being available as individual segments at http://www.how2kids.com — how kids can learn to do great things, especially using technology. Online now on Blinkx.com.
We continue to develop our kids’ media literacy/resource portal, iKidWorld.com.
Music as History and Storytelling
Live Folk & Fun Concert Series
We continue our series of Southern California live concerts with a variety of local libraries, museums, schools, and other organizations, teaching kids about history and culture through traditional folk music, based on the live concert work and cable show (see below) of Gigi & Mike (www.gigiandmike.com).
“Let’s Sing Together” — Creation of our monthly children’s show
“Crunchy Party-Mix” Album
Our first children’s album — “Crunchy PartyMix” — continues broad distribution on CDBaby, iTunes, MSN Music, eMusic, Rhapsody, Wal*Mart.com, and other digital sources. This is part of our mission of exposing children to history through traditional folk music.
